I think your numbers are off by a few. I had us at 6-6 (AP Poll). Either way... 8-9 or 6-6... it's better than anyone else in the country during that time frame.

Despite most MSU fans believing they invented the sport of college baseball, the Diamond Dogs have finished with a losing record 4 of the last 8 years and finished last in the SEC standings 3 of those years.

Interesting. Glad to see you're keeping up with State baseball.

Another fun fact, Wes Rea managed to continually keep his weight above 500 lbs despite earning a letter on all 8 of those MSU teams.

Fact: Have seen more Arkansas fans eat Corndogs at Riverfest today than any event in Louisiana history

SEC stands for Southeastern Conference

The SEC was established on December 8 and 9, 1932, when the thirteen members of the Southern Conference located west and south of the Appalachian Mountains left to form their own conference.
The thirteen founding members:

University of Georgia
University of Kentucky
Louisiana State University ("LSU")
University of Mississippi ("Ole Miss")
Mississippi State University
University of Tennessee

The University of the South ("Sewanee")

This is one that can't be repeated enough: Vandy football has a winning record in SEC play against exactly one opponent, and it's not Kentucky.
I'm not sure when Auburn will have a chance to tie it up with us, but since we just took them down in 2012, it won't be for a while.

Missouri is 31-18-1 (.633) against the SEC all-time.

In 1959, in what was the most hyped game of the year, #1 LSU played #3 Ole Miss in Death Valley and won 7-3 thanks to an amazing punt return by Billy Cannon. That same season, in the 1960 Sugar Bowl, the two teams rematched, and Ole Miss won 21-0.
Sounds eerily familiar doesn't it?

LSU accounts for 30+% of those wins by fewer than 10 points.
Of 13 games Bama has won by 10 pts or less, 4 of them have come against LSU. Les has also beat Saban 3 times in 9 meetings...

Ole Miss won five SEC football titles between 1954 and 1963. They haven't won another since.

14 points...losing 31-17 is pretty much a beatdown but the overall point is still well taken. Good run so far.
