A- FSU can't be a better school than the top 3-5 SEC institutions, right?
B- CFB has absolutely nothing to do w/ academics

according to US News its below Vandy, Florida, UGA, Alabama, Mizzou, Auburn, A&M, same as Tennessee, and less than 20 spots ahead of South Carolina, Kentucky, and LSU.

If they think the ACC is too NC-centric, they are going to hate the Big 12 and Texas.

Not to mention the SEC is actually better academically than the Big 12 especially after the additions of Missouri (AAU school) and Texas A&M (Top 60 school with $7 billion endowment).

Exactly.

If I were king, I would invite Florida State to the SEC in a heartbeat. Screw the alleged pact that the SEC East schools have.

Yes, I know we already have eight gazillion TV sets in Florida. But it's a very large state (19 million - 2nd largest in the South after Texas). Surely the Gators don't monopolize all those TV sets.

Tallahassee is in a part of Florida that has far more in common with Alabama and Georgia than it does with Miami. FSU has a long history playing the Gators and in their short history (since 1947) they've played 18 games against Auburn, 9 games against LSU, 18 games against South Carolina, 11 games against Georgia and 9 games against Mississippi State.

NEVER allow them in the SEC... They had their shot when we first expanded and they went to the ACC.

I can see no value to allowing them in.. Let's expand to 16, but lets bring in Oklahoma and Okie State.... Move Auburn and Alabama to the East. (sorry LSU)

Exactly, stay at 14 and call it a day. The SEC accomplished it's main goal of getting into Texas and also added a fairly large brand new market in Missouri as well. 14 is at the edge of being too large but is still manageable as far as schedule is concerned. Please don't expand beyond 14.

Yeah, no value whatsoever in adding a 2nd school in a state with 19 million people but instead let's add two schools from a state with 3.7 million people.

That is rich. Don't Gator fans call them the "clown college"?
