And they make fun of ED
"Just to play devils advocate here. Suppose the incidents from the Tunsil draft interview expose illegal incentives. Say he did receive illegally receive financial aid from a school official. What was the purpose? It was to ensure electricity and rent. Possibly it kept him from either being homeless or looking for a place to stay? They already have Ole Miss reportedly on one infraction where an athlete slept on a teammate's girlfriend's couch! What kind of PR move would it be for the NCAA to come down hard on Ole Miss because the school didn't want its players sleeping in various and unsanitary locations because they can't afford a roof over their heads. In other words, the NCAA programs make millions off these student-athletes and yet, they can't even afford a decent place to live? The NCAA has to walk a fine line on this one. If things were properly done to help alleviate Tunsils rent burden, fine, maybe everything will be OK.
Here is how it'll be framed: "There comes a time to draw the line in the sand. If a young man signs with your program, you take care of him. He shouldn't sleep under a tree or live without electricity. We value the well-being of those we sign!" What a PR nightmare for the NCAA"

We are so completely fricked right now that it boggles the mind.
And yet ED is still crazier than a nkemdiche weed party.

I mean, I can see this. It goes along with Oxford being the greatest town in America. Rent is so high, what the athletic department is allowed to provide is insufficient to cover the cost of living in Oxford. Makes sense to me.

Yes because its not like they provide dorms or housing to the student athletes. So much fail in his statement.

Also found this...
I think you should give me partial credit because I found that last night. Like, a brick, or something needs to be added to that

They cheated.
They got caught.
It is what it is.
That kind of spin is just misplaced anger without guilt.

Black Bear fans, was Tunsil's 7 game suspension for taking improper benefits tied to this comment about him taking money from a coach or is this something new entirely?

It was nice knowing you OM.

Now we know why Tunsil was riding around with the agents. They were just scouting out the best places to go when you are homeless.
Tunsil: "What about under that bridge?"
Agent: "Good choice... Protection from rain and wind, and sleeping on the slope will help prevent snoring."
Tunsil: "Maybe you could help with some payments???"
Agent: "Sorry. Our hands are completely tied until your college career is over."
