They just bore me to death. Looking at some of these Week 1 matchups, while not being exciting as last year's, would make some kickass home-and-homes. Can you imagine Bama having to travel to Tallahassee or vice-versa? WVU and VT would make an awesome home-and-home. Michigan vs. Florida is just dull inside of AT&T Stadium.

I get that they probably won't die out as long as they're making $$$. I think the best compromise is to have a regional neutral site game. We saw this last year with Ole Miss/FSU and LSU/Wisconsin. Those were essentially Wisconsin/FSU home games.

I hate neutral site games as well.

Agreed. Nothing dumber than Tennessee and West Virginia playing in Charlotte next year.

Aside from the money issue, neutral site games provide for better matchups since the aren't scheduled a decade in advance like home-and-homes.

Yea, not a big fan of them. Once every 3 or 4 years is fine, but every year sucks.

It just seems like some of these neutral site openers, especially anything played in a dome, feel more like watered-down NFL games than CFB.

I don't mind them every now and then. I would get tired of it if one of our OOC games every year was played at a neutral site.

We play an in-state neutral site game with Miami in Orlando in 2019.

Wasn't Vol fans sucking each other off beating Va Tech in Bristol?

they are a plague but the money is too good for the schools to pass up. nothing beats the environment at an on campus game. screw nfl stadiums.

Yep.
I loathe the Aggies/Razorbacks arrangement in Arlington.
That's not college sports.
College Station and Fayetteville are the rightful homes of that slugfest.

I was fine with a unique one off like that. It was a very memorable and unique experience. Most of these games are as cookie cutter as they get, the exact opposite of that.

That game was okay. Not a fan of it being in the NASCAR stadium, but I liked how it was basically equidistant from Knoxville and Blacksburg.

I agree, but games like Florida State Alabama wouldn't happen if not for neutral site games.

There's no reason except dollars to have a hard non conference schedule with the playoff. Neutral site games produce more dollars.

Lambeau was great, but the LSU-Wisconsin H&H not being played on each school's respective campus is a crime against humanity.

Two legendary drinking fanbases, two great gameday environments, two great on-campus stadiums ... just sat idle for a weekend while we roasted in a parking lot in Houston.

Yea, 1 time every 3-4 years and/or a unique game is fine. Alabama vs Florida State to open up the new stadium in Atlanta is fun. I'm excited.

Alabama vs Duke in Atlanta in 2 years is stupid.

I understand why they do them and they are here to stay.
I hate that we can't get these matchups in home stadiums especially when the other 3 non conf games are usually just awful for SEC teams.

I also hate how much they charge for tickets to the neutral site games.

I agree the neutral site games suck. Would be much better as a home and home.

Primarily because your team never gets invited to play in them, fool.

I'm about 50/50. Neutral Site games can be AMAZING if done right. Some of these games, maybe most, are not done right.

MU-kU at Arrowhead is awesome. Same would go for Mizzou-Nebraska at Arrowhead. Mizzou-Illinois in St. Louis. Those types make sense for both fan bases.

Some others can work as well. Just have to make sure it makes sense.
