because of last night's game. The game would have had a totally different if he would have taken the points when he could. There was very little pressure on the offense once Bama was up two scores.

He took the wind out of his team's sails with the failed 4th down conversions. That said, he will probably not make those mistakes again. Ole Miss is not as bad as the score last night.

Every bit of this. But if you talk to some of the tards on here, we have no shot against Auburn, LSU or A&M

I agree with the OP. What's wrong with just saying Bama has better players and more experienced coaches?

Ole Miss is a program on the rise but we're not close to Bama's level yet.

Exactly this.

I'm not mad at all. These are the growing pains of having not only young players but a young head coach. He's still learning the ropes. I have faith that he will learn. He owns up to his mistakes.

And our defense last night...holy shite.

Pick any thread started by an Auburn fan... It'll be a 50/50 game, we are probably a slightly better team right now be you guys have a lot of talent and home field. It will be a great game next weekend, and one that could probably go either way.

Seemed like going for it on all those fourth downs might have been a reaction to the amount of smack that was talked up by Bo and co. heading in? If so I agree that won't happen again = being a better coach.

Freeze has always been really aggressive on 4th downs

99% of the realistic Auburn fans will tell you the Ole Miss game is 50/50. Neither team is winning the division. Just a game for bragging rights/possible bowl position

Freeze went for it on 4th down a lot last season too, its just the type of coach he is. When it works, he looks like a genius, when it doesn't it costs us. After this game I think he'll be more carful about it, but I have no problem with him being an aggressive coach.

The first 4th down was kind of dumb. He should have taken the points there. The later ones weren't ill advised. He needed touchdowns then, not field goals.

One thing that really, really bothers me about Freeze is that he gets too fricking cute on 3rd/4th and short. I realize that Scott isn't a big guy, but he runs tough and it's just one fricking yard. If your OL can't open space for him to pick up 1 yard you don't deserve to convert.

This game will probably determine which team gets 8-9 wins, and which team only gets 7 wins this season.

I have not sen any Auburn fans saying ole miss had no chance. Not one. If you read the thread, every Auburn fan thinks its dead even. Others think Black bears win

My comments were exactly what you said.

I think we win and will keep saying it. I think us and Ole Miss are pretty similar right now, but at home, I'll take AU.

Yeah, well, when you're playing Bama at their house and your team is actually in the game, you might want to tweak your strategy. I'm for going on 4th down sometimes, but he was flat-out stubborn last night.
