Has Ole Miss taken their case before the Committee on Infractions yet?

They have already admitted to some wrong doing. Why does he act so innocent?

If Ole Miss beats Bama three years in a row then Freeze is done. REC won't stand for it

Hugh said mistakes were made. It's possible that he turned a blind eye which allowed the boosters to run wild. Maybe he's just now opening his eyes to how wide spread that booster involvement was?

This may be the case but read this rule below;

NCAA Division I Bylaw 11.1.1.1
states that a head coach is
presumed to be responsible for the actions of all staff members who
report, directly or indirectly, to the head coach. The head coach will
be held accountable for violations in the program unless he or she
can rebut the presumption of responsibility.

I think you are right on this. He was following instructions. And, depositing $4 mil in the bank for several years. I doubt Bucky is bummed about this. Other than just hating to see it end.

Ole Miss, or for that matter just about any big name school will NEVER get crippling sanctions again for recruiting improprieties. The NCAA has developed so much bureaucracy and procedure that essentially runs the clock out for anything they may have done. Most schools today do the EXACT same thing that SMU did in the 1980's. About half of what SMU did would not even warrant any major sanctions today

In the case of Ole Miss, the NCAA had detailed info from Laremy Tunsil's stepfather....nothing will happen

In the case of Cam Newton. The NCAA had more evidence than they had for just about any other recruiting case in its history ....nothing happened

Oregon and LSU got caught up in a recruiting problem regarding Lache Seastrunk a few years ago...not much came of that

All of the accusations and findings would have landed teams on major probation a generation ago

The only case hat went anywhere was the Reggie Bush case because it as ridiculously in your face.
