To be fair, Alleva did try to destroy a dozen innocent kids lives at Duke...so his decision making is a bit suspect........so you might have a point

Yeah Sir he did, and he has single handedly ruined men's and women's basketball, and doesn't know shite about sports in general. I wouldnt hire him to manage a car wash much less a multi-million dollar athletic department

Jacobs hasn't been out of Lee County since he enrolled at Auburn as a student in the early 80s
Seriously. He graduated Auburn and took a job at a HS just outside the Auburn city limits, he was there for one year and hasn't held a job outside of Auburn since.
He just is buddies with the right people. He's great at shaking hands and collecting checks. But he has no business running the day-to-day of an athletic department or making any kind of hires, especially not a mult-million dollar national brand like Auburn.
Unfortunately the good ole' boy network is still alive in Auburn when most colleges cut the head off that snake years if not decades ago.
