what are you going to be looking for outside of curb stomping the sacrificial lamb?
Obviously, no injuries
but what else, and if there is heavy rust/poor execution, does it temper your thoughts for the next weeks' games?

Whether we have a functional QB or not.
And O line for that matter

Looking forward to not playing a p5 team to open. Will be looking obviously at the QBs rotating and how they play. How the young DBs adapt. What the WR speed truly is...apparently blazing. Looking forward to see the play calling (will be basic package and conservative). Who we put back on returns.
Lastly, See if Richt cares about Chubb for Heisman...does he let him run it up for stats or not.

Pass rush by the dline, blocking execution by the oline, qb play, consistency in stopping the run and pass, no big plays..you know, football in general

Offensive line play, last year we were giving up sacks to literally everyone, I wanna see improvement.

We pay good money for these games so that we don't have to play games in places like Murfreesboro, TN & Hattiesburg, MS.
Looking for that curb stomping and impressive stats from our starting QB

What have you done the past century?
I can't recall aTm playing any OOC game worth a shite, let alone for the opener.

If he does anything other than hand the ball to Chubb, then Mark Richt has lost control, and I think I like it.

This, right here, is exactly why we can't have nice things.

Our run at the Texas State championship started during bowl season.
#1 has fallen, the best damn school in southwest Tejas is next, a school who has won a a NC more recently than Aggy in a major sport.

Nothing really concerning how we produce or who does what, because that doesn't really matter against SEMO.
What I do want to see is a team that looks prepared and focus. Executes base plays easily, no turnovers, limited penalties. Focus and effort.

I'm not worried, but apparently BG has a few weapons in the passing game. I wanna see how our banged-up secondary handles the challenge. A 45-3 win would feel far more satisfying than a 45-21 win.

I want to hear what the band has planned for the year.

I want to see if Jordan Swindle has improved his impeccable ability to false start like a motherfricker.

There are certainly pros/cons to a non P5 first game. Nice break in game against a team not in the same jersey but it REALLY sucks when you get players dinged up.
