My dad told me a story about when we were recruiting him to play at Alabama in the 60's. Said Bryant thought we had him and then all of a sudden he commits to Florida. The next thing you know his Dad (who was a preacher in KY) ends up preaching at a church in Gainesville the next year. Sound familiar. Some things never change. IMO, he would have had a better career replacing the Bear than he did returning to FL.

That story ... reads somewhat off.
