Football matters most

Don't act like you wouldn't trade all of your school's athletics to have the kind of success Bama has had in football. But if you wouldn't, have fun watching your men's doubles volleyball team win the national championship on ESPNU alt. People act like just because bama drops off after football means that it isn't a huge deal to win the national championship every other year. The only thing that comes close to football is basketball with baseball far behind in 3rd. But other than that
1 football championship>>>>> 5 of anything else.
Edit: Except for Kentucky. I give you guys credit for your basketball program.

I would love for our football to become competitive, but I also enjoy not only getting sports satisfaction 12 days a year. UK men's and women's basketball kill it and our baseball team has been solid overall this century, although I'd certainly like to see some deeper postseason runs there.

What's wrong with that? It seems like everyone else uses their other teams to compensate for their sorry football teams. Like I said, basketball is something to brag about definitely, and baseball is if you build an awesome program ie. LSU.

No. But to act as if Bama's football championships don't mean more then 5 or so of non-revenue sport championships is very annoying.

Do not be happy about your team's successes CNB unless it's football because we all know football matters most and everything else is just stupid. You know this.
I lived in AL for three years and sadly, I encountered this type of Gump regularly. The good ones are outnumbered by the marginal ones and the bad ones and it's not even close.
They are so crazy that many won't even own a navy blue shirt. They are so crazy that they wear that dark pink nearly every day. Bama belt, bama shirt, khakis, bama hat, bama bangs, bama stickers, bama coolers... that's just at church. I saw it at church with my own eyes.
