To be fair, what schools did they lose to?

Any SoCon teams may not count as the history with the SoCon existed before the SEC was even formed.

Twice ... to The Citadel.

Arghhhh

No excuses.

Wishbone option veer crap.

I blame the first one on Sparky Woods and the second one on Shawn Elliott. Frick'em both.

I was seriously concerned about anyone who had enough free time to dig crap like this up....then I realized it was a Mizzou fan.

Now I understand.

That painful isn't it.

Not only have you lost to an FCS school, but last year you lost to a 4-8 Mizzou team.

The Mizzou loss is far more concerning. Citadel actually had a decent team.

The rule is ... and Michigan knows this best as does SC of course, but if you overlook a SoCon team you just might get your arse whipped.

Many a D1 FBS program have fallen to SoCon teams over the years. They take their football very seriously.

As a Jacksonville State alumnus, I am always thrilled to see the Gamecocks at least get it close. Let's not forget that they took Auburn to OT three years ago. I am looking forward to the Georgia Tech game.

More like reality check from the old guy on the board who knows better. Taters were SoCon from 1921 to 1953, when they joined the ACC. If not for the SoCon, the Taters would not exist in their current state so count your blessings on that early SoCon membership.

AU has not only never lost to an FCS school, our current streak against non-P5/BCS AQ programs now stands at 73.
