Sorry UF - the way this whole thing has been handled means that Foley's actions HAVE to fall into one of these categories.

NEGLIGENT: Did UF intentionally neglect multiple weather sources that had Gainesville being affected by Matthew as early as Monday? As previous posts have pointed out the whole "The thing changed in the last 24 hrs" is bullshite. Everyone except UF was wondering/pleading/begging UF to make a decision on the game earlier but even the day of the announcement they kept pushing back the decision.

INCOMPETENT: The other option is that Foley KNEW what was coming but just didn't have a contingency plan in place and then was forced into an all or nothing scenario. As much as the state of Florida has dealt with Hurricanes, I doubt this is the case.

Foley's career has shown that he is neither of the above which ONLY leaves one option:

STRATEGIC: This was a strategic move by UF all the way. They wanted to have their cake and eat it too. How else can you explain their arrogant refusal to even look at ANY of the options put forth by LSU? Most every other school that was affected by the storm and made arrangements. UF wanted their home game at noon and nothing else.

Sorry folks but LSU cannot be held responsible for Foley's stubbornness. His move that seemed strategic at the time is now backfiring on him b/c pressure to play the game is mounting. For all his grandstanding about player and first responder safety - if that was TRULY his primary concern, why wait as long as he did to make a decision.

PS - Shame on Sankey for allowing this to happen.

Egomaniacal.

He took one of LSU's many contingency options as a personal affront, and then tried to stick it to LSU by offering only a scenario in which LSU has to cancel a home game to play a game that could have and should have been played Sunday or Monday.

He tried to show everyone how big his dick is one last time before he stepped down, but forgot to take his Viagra and everyone laughed at him when he pulled it out.

That or he and McElwain really are cowards who deliberately took advantage of the storm to avoid playing a game against a physical team at a time when they were struggling with injuries.

Isn't pushing back the decision the very thing people are now saying should have been done?

Monday through Wednesday the track was very similar to what actually happened. Not sure many people questioned Gainesville's ability to host once the storm passed.

If y'all are going to keep bitching about UF, at least come up with something new. I'm tired of seeing "UForfeit" and "pussy". Considering you have been focusing on this issue 100% for almost a week now, I'm disappointed you haven't had any more original thoughts.

The whole plan at LSU was to get out of playing a tough road game after being waxed in Wisconsin and Auburn. The play was to either get the Florida game moved to Baton Rouge or get the game canceled. It was the entire talking point of LSU before Saturday..."move the game to Baton Rouge, don't make us play in a dangerous hurricane condition, it is too scary and dangerous." And then suddenly LSU won't play? Yeah... right!!!

It is time for someone at LSU to act like an adult. Man up and play the dam game in Gainesville like it was intended to be played and quit trying to make Florida take a financial hit by canceling the game. LSU has an open date... use it you pussy cowards.

LSU.. lots of big talk hiding behind a corrupt agenda, yet again.

Strategic.

Both teams should have been ready to play Saturday if the storm didn't adversely affect Gainesville. Highest winds in Gainesville during storm, 48 mph. Negligible damage. All other games were played Saturday or rescheduled to Sunday. This game should have been played Saturday, Sunday or Monday in Gainesville.

Foley didn't stop UF's volleyball team from driving Saturday to Columbia, S.C. to play Sunday.

You forgot to list "Punk who is going to do whatever Bama, then Florida, tell him to do."
