The reason that they were good was mainly because of Muschamp's recruits on defense, and those defensive players are leaving after this year.
Prime opportunity for the little schools of the SEC East to take over, because of how bad the coaches at the schools that have the potential to be great.

The only team on the schedule that has significantly more talent than UF at every position is FSU.
Only 3 true road games - South Carolina, Kentucky, and Missouri.
Considering the talent coming in and returning offensively, if Franks or Trask pans out, UF could be really good next year.
Defensively I expect some drop off in the secondary. LB with Reese and Anzalone should be good if Anzalone can stay healthy.
This notion that UF is going to suck next year does not have any basis, other than the constant respewing of the Muschamp defense.
Depending on who comes in as a defensive assistant, recruiting could start to return to UF standards.
But ill just sit here and wait for the downvotes.
UGA should be the favorite in the East. But don't be surprised if UF wins 10 games.

I wouldnt be so sure of that. The east will be an all out dog fight next year.

You know, people were saying that about us going into this season. And on some levels, they were right.
However, we still won the east and beat LSU on the road. So, I don't know. We will lose some guys on defense, but we gain some on offense and another year of experience. We will see. Should be a close race in the east this next year regardless.

How are you guys feeling about the opener with Michigan? They lose everyone this year, so they'll be a very young team.

That terrible Florida team beat LSU in Death Valley. We self destructed, yes, but they capitalized and made the clutch plays. I don't know if I'll ever see a fumble near the goal line then the other team throw a 98 yard pass again in my lifetime for a potential 14 point swing
