Kid got a misdemeanor (non criminal) citation in Ohio for weed possession. Thats it. Sucks for the Gators, but WTF is the admin thinking?

Is that really all there is to the story? Seems ridiculous.

Crazy that Florida turned him down given how shitty their recruiting has been.

That's all I've got. Radio guys here in Jax are roasting the admin. Saying you cant deny a kid over weed and still compete. They are right. shite, at Bama you can have guns and weed, and not miss a practice.

Same way a ticket for expired tag isn't criminal?

Other schools backed off well before that incident. Seems like there are probably more significant issues and this was just the last straw.

Kid's had red flags this whole cycle. Name another big team that is actively recruiting him? Oklahoma was his number 2, they backed out. This is larger than one weed citation.

Doesn't go on your record (i.e. "de-criminalized")
Its akin to a parking ticket.

The Administration cares More about its image than helping this kid. I hope all those hypocrites get liver cancer.

How is it even helping their image?
There has to be more to the story.

There is more to the story. No SEC team or almost any power5 team dumps a kid for that alone.
Someone with 4 or 5 years time may want to follow his career and see if it's an unfair judgment or a wise decision down the road.
