It's the wide angle of the lens making the numbers on the ground appear very large. This causes an illusion. Look at the tiny doors at the end of the facility and use that to judge how high the ceilings are.

There's a tiny person with a neon shirt standing at the far end near the center. That should give you a gauge of how high the ceiling is above him.
