Florida was fine on defense before and after Muschamp.
UF hasn't had a terrible defense in arguably over 20+ years.
Even the 2007 defense statistically wasn't THAT awful.

Not sure about White but there is no way I would have given McElwain that kind of extension with his level of recruiting to date. Florida should be top 10 in recruiting every season with the wealth of recruits in their state.

He's gotten us back to that. We'll be top 10 in recruiting for years to come now.
It also helps to show the recruits that the coach will be there a bit.
Kirby can't say that, as if he has 2 more seasons like last season, you guys will kick him out.
