Crazy story: Dr. Jerry Poché (father of Jared) & Jimmy Roy (dad of strength coach Travis) performed CPR on a UF fan @ the game & revived him

Saw this on the real Rant and thought this was pretty dang cool.

LSU saved the FLA's season by pitching the Wholestaff.

Advocate article

quote:

Poché received confirmation from the lead paramedic at TD Ameritrade Park that the man to whom he and Roy provided CPR is in stable condition.

“The man died,” Poché said. “He didn’t have a pulse; he didn’t have nothing. It looks like, luckily, we got him back.”

This is beyond the game, fellas.

Made me get goosebumps reading that!

No doubt a Florida doctor would have done the same. What a story!

That is awesome. We need to hear about the heroic actions by others like this more often.

Say what you will about LSU fans during football season, but they are fantastic people when push comes to shove.

Awesome, awesome people.

What a wonderful break for the Old guy to have two lifesavers bring him back. LSU will be his 2nd favorite team from here on.

Very much so. No one wants to have a heart attack (presumably) or any other medical emergency but if you have to have one that's who you want beside you when it happens.

It's a shame threads like this fall but flame threads are right below stickier threads.

We surely have some a-hole fans and a number are definitely like to fight types but having gone to LSU sporting events for 43 years almost all will come to a rival fans aid when they need it. I think and hope most understand it really is just sports.

Yeah this is definitely bigger than the game. Incredible story with a great ending! Hope the man lives 20+ more.
