Florida Basketball: Donovan Is Gone - Incline or Decline (POLL)

Only 5 SEC teams had more losses than Florida this year, but they were the king of quality losses and everybody that beat them was just simply a better team/program, hence the quality loss. Florida added another quality loss this week in the NIT Tournament.
However, are their best years ahead of or behind them, for their Men's Basketball team?

Mike White is a solid head coach, but it will be hard to top Billy.

Michael White >> Anything Carolina could ever get

Response thread to threads that are weeks and months old. That's pretty damn rustled.

I kinda like the guy coaching down there now ... he seems capable.
Now, whether or not he can find the right bagman to work AAU ball like Donovan did, or not, is going to be the real question. Because Donovan could flat-out recruit. At one time UF had more McDonald's All-Americans on their team than did Kentucky at the time.
I dunno, it's a good question. It's tough to follow a legend, and Donovan is a legend among Gator fans so ... the odds are probably against White.

The stars could align for Florida in bringing Donovan back and it's more realistic than you think.
His family still lives in Gainesville. His dad attended a lot of the gator games this season. If Mike White whiffs on the tourney the next 2 seasons (a real possibility), and the Thunder lose Durant (very likely), we could see it happen.
He doesn't look happy at OKC when I watch their games.

They have nowhere to go but down after Donovan. UF will be lucky to win another national title.

Why would a Gator fan post that?
Are you that upset over people saying White clearly isnt on Donovan's level?

Well, I don't really feel like arguing about your opinion today and I've seen that number here so many times that I thought, "What the hell".

Making a ForeverGator response thread is worse than making a Serraneaux response thread

Billy will only ever return to UF as a fan. He hates recruiting now and he'll get another nba job.

They couldn't even fill up a 12,000 seat arena to celebrate a national title. Their fans barely gave a shite when Billy was there. UK, UGA...that's about it for filling up the ODome. They definitely won't pressure for greatness, they were happy to have it though. As long as football is fine, they're fine.
