Fixing the SEC, one brick at a time...

We should replace Mizzou with BYU.
1. BYU fits in with the rest of the SEC schools about as much as Mizzou does.
2. BYU will likely get more SEC wins than Mizzou this season when BYU defeats LSU.
3. BYU has decent football and basketball programs. Not sure about baseball. Mizzou doesn't offer these things
4. BYU students/fans are more fun that Mizzou students/fans
5. BYU fans are better at showing up to sporting events than Mizzou fans
6. BYU probably has better parties than Mizzou.
We need to make this happen, fellas. It would improve our conference significantly with no cost to any of us.

BYU won't beat LSU and they won't beat Miss State this year either. I now put a wager on this proclaiming if either happens I will ban myself for 6 months.

Great, what we need is an entire fanbase offended by the other 13 teams selling soda or sweet tea... not to mention our other drinking choices. I'll trade op with a byu fan as preliminary test.

I'm gonna treat this like a real post, because that's more fun than everything being a troll!
I wonder at what point the "Southeastern" part of SEC gets officially thrown out. We've already got Texas and Missouri which are only a part of the southeastern U.S.A. by the most loose and generous of estimations. BYU, located in Utah, would obviously be a complete rejection of the SEC's identity as a southeastern coalition of Universities.
I think the schools of the SEC, before TAMU and Mizzou (with the possible exception of Arky) all share a common culture that binds us together. Sort of an "us against them" type of mentality that has been typical of the American south since the inception of our Union.
I would very much dislike to lose this aspect of our conference.

BYU will not play any event on Sunday, so many sports must be adjusted. Low value from a TV point of view.
North Carolina State and Oklahoma are more logical choices.

You do realize TAMU shares our genetic roots being in the SIAA together 100 years ago before they were yanked by Tejas to form the SWC.

Well to be honest SEC has a better ring to it than the FCS+MC "Former Confederate States + Mizzou Conference"

We all share the greatest cultural tie in college athletics and that's money. Mizzou sold their history for $ & security. The SEC sold theirs to get us and A&M for just money. That's the stone cold truth.
