I believe the "first" aspect of that game was the first game televised live from Bryant-Denny. Alabama had been playing night games in Tuscaloosa since at least 1969.

Jan. 2, 1978 Orange Bowl. Arkansas vs Oklahoma. OU was such a huge favorite after our starting 2 tailbacks got suspended that Vegas took the game off the board. Arkansas absolutely dominated every phase of the game, winning 31-6 behind a then-Orange Bowl record 205 yards on 22 carries by third string tailback Roland Sales.

I know I went games before this, but the first one I remember was UT vs UF 1991, in Gainesville.

It was awful. The gator fans treated us like shite all 3 days we were there. One drunk bitch wouldn't let me play catch with her kids because I was wearing a Tennessee jersey. And in the 4th quarter, they threw souvenir cups filled with piss at everyone in the visitors section.

Since then, I've been to every stadium in the conference with the exception of Mizzou and A&M, and I have NEVER encountered a fanbase that has even a remotely comparable level of shittyness as UF.

They became my mortal enemy that day.

That was 1999 season opener vs San Jose State. Booty started the 2000 Western Carolina game.

First game I 100% remember going to is Alabama/North Carolina in the 1993 Gator Bowl. I was 6. We had to leave early because it was freezing and I got sick. We went to the game on the way home from Disney. I remember going to games earlier that year, but I can't remember a specific game. I do know that my first game ever was Alabama/Ole Miss in 1992, but I don't remember it.

First game I really remember attending was the 02 Arkansas vs. Tennessee game in Knoxville. Game went into 6 OTs. Not the ending I wanted but it was a great game. Playing Tennessee every year was really fun.

I was at that game too, was amazing.

Oops. I guess 99 was my first LSU game then.

I actually went to a bunch of Tulane games before I ever saw LSU in person. Was at every home game in the 98 season

I was 4. It was the only game I went to in 1992. I started going to most home games in 1993.

1989 Iron Bowl - the mountaintop for Auburn football.

Being from a split family, this was the turning point for me as an Alabama fan (and completely away from Auburn) - which is odd considering the outcome.

For me, the first one I really remember paying attention to was Oregon State in 1982. How could I forget the first appearance of the Dalton James Gang? I had gone to a game here or two in the three or four years prior but I have no specific recollection of the games.

That was 94. 92 was played on a picture perfect day. Not a cloud in the sky and low 70's.

I only remember 1 or 2 really long lightning delays at BDS. The 1994 game may be what I'm thinking of, but I want to say one of them was against Arkansas. However, it may have been Ole Miss.

Sister was currently attending school there and she left in the 3rd quarter to go bar hopping. I remember thinking she was crazy back then, it makes a little more sense to me now
