What is the first game of your favorite college football team you remember attending?
Mine was Bama vs LSU in 1993. Found a picture and ticket stub the other day. LSU won and I remember the "L-S-U" chants as we were leaving the game. Even with the loss, special moment going with my Dad.

Auburn-LSU in '92. My first day on campus as a freshman.

1986 Alabama v Temple. 2 Heisman contenders on the field, Bobby Humphrey and Paul Palmer.

That LSU game was the first loss for Bama in something like thirty games. It was hard to watch.
I think my first game was the '87 Bama/UT game at Legion Field. UT was favored but Bama stomped a mudhole in them that day. It was awesome.

Penn State 9, Alabama 0 in 1990.
I was so excited to watch my first college football game. I couldn't sleep for a week. Got there and fracking three field goals in one of the most boring games ever played.
Ended up getting a scholarship to MSU and my first MSU game was a Memphis game my freshman year. Nothing special.

We went undefeated in '92.
You're thinking '93.

Hard to top this for a "first game." Alabama 33, Ole Miss 32. Legion Field October 1969.This was college football's 100th season. If you look close enough you can see a football with '100' on one side of each team's helmet.

Wuerffel to Doering in the end zone to get us in the last few seconds.
It was 1993, and a great intro to Kentucky football.

Bama vs. Va Tech in 78 or 79. I only vaguely remember it though. I was 6 or 7, and the 2 things I remember was thinking how much smaller the field looked in person than on TV, and this sweet older lady behind us buying me popcorn and a Coke. Dad always told the story about how I was "flirting" with her the whole game. Oh and I guess I remember dad chain smoking the whole game and sipping on a flask of Jack Daniels. Can't remember a single thing about the game on the field.

Miami-Alabama in Tuscaloosa in the late 70's
I think it was the first game with the lights in BDS. Jim Kelly was their QB and was pretty horrible that game.

1970 Bama/LSU in Birmingham. One of the few times Cholly Mac beat Coach Bryant.

First game I really remember attending was the 02 Arkansas vs. Tennessee game in Knoxville. Game went into 6 OTs. Not the ending I wanted but it was a great game. Playing Tennessee every year was really fun.

The first one I actually have vivid memories of attending was the 1958 Army at Notre Dame game in South Bend.
But my parents and brothers have always told me my first game was the 1957 LSU at Ole Miss game ... which I vaguely remember more for the time I spent at my Grandparents home in Olive Branch before and after, and swimming at Maywood, than I do the actual game itself, although I think I remember some of the ride there, I slept on the way home after the game. And I remember going to the Memphis Zoo the following Sunday.

LSU vs Western Carolina in 2000. Saban's first game. Craig Nall got the start at QB over Josh Booty and Rohan Davey
