4 of the top 8 picks in the 2015 draft were from the SEC, and after tomorrow night all 4 will have made their major league debuts.

Andrew Benintendi : 12 games, 13/37 (.351), .400 OBP, 0 HR, 6 RBI
Carson Fulmer : 8 games, 11.2 IP, 0-2, 8.49 ERA, 12 H, 7 BB, 10 K
Dansby Swanson : MLB Debut Tuesday vs Twins

The Braves plan to call up shortstop Dansby Swanson, the top pick in the 2015 draft, on Wednesday, the club announced. He will wear No. 2.
Swanson, 22, was originally selected by the Diamondbacks before being sent to Atlanta in trade for pitcher Shelby Miller.

Bigger bust than Bregman?

Kind of surprising given his numbers in AA. Strikes out about once every fourth at bat and isn't exactly tearing the cover off the ball. Decent numbers but still surprised at the call up

He was up and down the first half but he's been great the 2nd half. Strikeouts are still a tad high (18% in AA, was 14% in A+ and last year in low A), but his all around game has been pretty solid. Been very good defensively as well.
44 G, .284 AVG, .358 OBP, 4 HR, 23 RBI
They want to get all the "firsts" out of the way down the stretch and have him ready to roll on opening day next year. I'll be curious to see if Albies joins him this year. My guess would be no.

Meh Bregman has been 12/41 (.291) since his 1/32 start

I dunno, I feel like 20 baseball games is a reasonable timeframe to sum up a kids overall career trajectory.

Also - FYI - this happened because the Braves traded Erick Aybar to Detroit for LSU product Kade Scivicque (C).

Kade has been hitting pretty well not sure about his defense, but yeah saw that earlier

Yea, seems like more of a depth pickup. I think they like him and think he could project as a solid backup, but Catcher is incredibly thin in the system right now.
Also, the fact that they got a legitimate semi-prospect for Erick Aybar is a minor miracle after his first 2 months.

He has struggled over the last month but this is his first full season.
Albies is more ML ready but obviously I am still very very excited.

Yea - I'm a tad concerned because the reports seem to indicate he has hit a wall with fatigue. However, he's has a pretty good last 10.
I'll be curious to see if they are trying to trade Beckham and if they find a spot for him if Albies comes up. Normally I'd say no because of his age, but they clearly intend for the two of them to be moved around together. They sent Albies back primarily for that. At the least I'd think he'll move back to Gwinnett.
Either way, should be interesting to watch. Will be fun to finally see all the youth trickle up.

I wanted to lull the Sox into a Teheran trade involving Benintendi so dang bad. Kid is going to be a great player.

Always thought he would do well but I think most Arkansas fans will admit it has been a surprise how fast he has picked up the game in the majors. Still very early but a great sign to start.

From watching him at Arkansas I figured he had a chance to be a good player, but I didn't anticipate him dominating the minor leagues at every level the way he did. Some guys just get there and realize they are good enough and take off. He seems to have done that.
