Are there any excuses we haven't exhausted for him? Let's go ahead and call this a failed experiment and the next time we look into hiring someone: Get a real head coach.

He's an insufferable dbag. In other words, a perfect fit for the Gators.

So it's not Urban's fault the Gators suck anymore?

I don't think he can make it to the end of the year. If we drop South Carolina and FSU (FSU we're going to lose bad) -- he goes this year. Especially if we miss a bowl. I personally don't think 7 - 5 Florida goes to a bowl, we'll get skipped.

I think all assistants need to be a HC at a mid major first before big time programs take a chance on an unproven HC and waste so much time, money and resources. Some assistants are just not great managers and leaders. Muschamp is too easy to negatively recruit against.

Should probably Fire Pease first and see what the guy could do with an offense.

Yeah, coming off of an 11-1 year two regular season record, it'd be tough for the AD to make the call in year three that he's not the guy (unless there are serious behind-the-scenes issues). I see at least one more season for Boom.

Last year was a little different -- this time around the SEC is going to have quite a few teams (including Auburn) who are going to be bowl eligible.

As for third year: All I have to say is 'Zook'.

Fire the offensive coordinator Pease?

Don't you think it's bizarre that Charlie Weis and Brent Pease came to Florida to run the exact same offense? Pretty sure they're not the problem concerning the offense.

Poor QB play. Abysmal WR play.

Does he handicap the offense to such a degree that he doesn't allow them to do anything, or are the coordinators that bad?

I'm not saying that it's not the right call, Straws. And you certainly know your team better than do I.
But no AD/school wants to be saddled w the reputation (among the coaching fraternity) that your program fires coaches in year three, after notching a season like last year.

Will be interesting to see what happens.
