He is a master at subtlety and backhanded compliments.

Finebaum is to radio as this website is to the Internet.

So TD caters only to the trash demographic?

He interviewed Galloway(sp) recently. After asking him all these questions he ended with "Annnnnd that was Joey Galloway, (almost whispering) with some predictable things to say."

That would have pissed me the frick off But Galloway wasn't very SEC friendly, so Finebaum gave him a little jab.

I guess that's why you hang out here then.

Is this what you do to pass the time while the next batch of meth is brewing?

He's nothing but a bandwagon Alabama fan with a radio show.

Finebaum's interviews are good but the best segment is always the Lochamy Brothers.

I have not watched his show more than fifteen minutes at a time for a total of less than a couple of hours.

Today I heard a call from a Mizzou fan living in San Francisco. He was well spoken, polite and never raised his voice or cursed. But he did believe Mizzou had a chance to win the SECG.

Paul F was very condescending to him, cut him off and said something like.." You should know what you are talking about before you call into a talk show and make a fool of yourself again."

I have never called into a talk show, but probably tried a dozen times, to no avail. I only planned to tell him, how shocked i was at his disrespect to a polite caller. I don't listen much, but have never heard him respond that way to the irrational buffoons that call on regular basis.

I'll be honest. I'd read such bad stuff about Finebaum that when the SEC network started up I was expecting to see this raving Bama homer.

But to be honest, the times I've watched he wasn't really like that. If anything, he seems to be almost embarrassed to be associated with the people who call the show (as well he should be in many cases). Maybe he just has too high of an opinion of himself - like it's all below him, I dunno. But he sometimes seems like he'd rather be doing something else.

Production value of the show is pretty low though.

His being embarrassed about his association with his callers is one thing; he should be. But to think he's not a bama homer is ridiculous. Back in Oct. he said, during one of many ramblings about Saban & bama, that the "3 NC's alabama won were the 3 greatest days in my life". I cann't speak for the Ironbowl..he was not present this yr...but for the past 5 LSU/bama games at least, he's been on the bama sidelines all game long. Saban's wkly press conference is run first every wk, and is shown several times during the wk. No other SEC coach's PC gets that kind of showing. etc etc etc

Yeah, until the next coach has a bad season. He'll become a nightmare of criticism. That guy only likes us when we are winning.
