Is this the shite Phil Paramore has been spewing about? MIL was saying something about it this past weekend. Didn't really catch the full gist of it because I generally tune her out.

You're probably right. You've stated no less than twice in this thread "nothing to do with NCAA", and you've done so in a confident, knowing way. So, if you do know, why not just say it?

Our AD is an imbecile and will be removed within the next two weeks. finebaum is using this against Auburn for a "see, there is something wrong at Auburn" deal.

There is nothing wrong at Auburn, other than inept AD and some of his staff.

Thank goodness we have pawl on the case.

He would never drop hints and half truths to try and gain viewership.

Never in the recent past, has Auburn been able to avoid NCAA penalties once the great pawl began to discuss them out in the open.

Look for "As the plains burns part II" any day now.

I am soooooo nervous.

I can't believe that any of our rivals are dumb enough to fall for this same old crap. Its as ignorant as Auburn fans believing that saban is going to retire tomorrow or the bammer program will suffer 3-4 losses as long as he is coaching.

Two things are true in the state of Alabama.
1. Bammer will keep winning as long as dinky is there.
2. Neither bammer or Auburn will get in NCAA trouble. We are both too smart for it.

Attempted softball coverup gone bad?

If that's it, then yeah there will be some world class trolling on tRant, a lot of righteous indignation from the sports media talking heads, a small check written, and then both the world and Auburn sports will go about their normal business.

I warned you guys months ago that investigations we're underway and that AUBURN was next.

My response is coming soon.

Because I'm a Bama fan? Way to be open minded.

I, like the vast majority of those who live in this state and went to one of the in-state schools, have many friends who went to the "other school". Not all Bama fans are "updykes" who wish nothing but harm on AU. I've got too many good friends who are AU fans to wish them harm like that. I want to beat them every game in every sport, but I don't want some type of major, real harm to hit their program and impact my friends like that.

This is all about the power struggle to get JJ out of the AD s office.. Not Title IX related. JJ just needs to go quietly.

This can't be said enough. The amazing thing about this whole Mississippi mess is that they're making mistakes we learned to avoid 20+ years ago.

Nah.

It's a Title IX (and much bigger than that) issue with a non-softball women's program

(and I'm sure you know that already)

I think that was the final straw. A lot of people have been wanting JJ out for a while. A few of the more influential have wanted to keep him as their puppet. The softball thing is as good as any reason to show him the door.

Our last Pres. showed no interest in the athletic side of things. I am hearing the new Pres. is interested in improving both the academic and athletic side. I am all for both.

Power struggle to get him out? WTF?

Are the BOT at odds on this decision? The new President?

And Jacobs will never go quietly, he honestly feels like he had done his job. Raised money, negotiated lucrative contracts, upgraded facilities, graduated student-athletes, and stayed out of the NCAA cross-hairs.

The mess with their softball team should have resulted in mass resignations and firings.

to be honest if it results in the firing/resignation of Jay Jacobs, I do not care what it is. I hate that incompetent sumbitch.
