UGaG fans: you may or may not like to see this but a former GT linebacker broke down our D vs. your O the last 12 minutes of the game. GT started stacking the box and stopping the run which may explain why Cheney abanonded the run some. Also, your Oline wasnt getting the push nor holding their blocks like they were in the first half. Our Dline and LBs were able the shed blocks and fill gaps much easier in the 4Q. Not sure if your guys ran out of gas or thought they had the game won and slacked on effort. Anyways, thought you may like a breakdown even if painful to watch. Think it may prove some suspicions. Eason was off on throws as well.

That's a well done breakdown. Our #54 was on roller skates getting tossed backwards the first 3 quarters. By just holding his ground in the 4th qtr made all the difference in the world.

This game is on one sequence and one only that doesn't really even include the offense vs the defense.

Georgia gets a 4th down stop at midfield. What do they do, they run the ball twice, then a procedure penalty causes a 3rd and 10 and an incomplete pass.

After a punt, Georgia Tech is pinned deep. The first play of the series is a 2 yard tackle for loss by Aaron Davis, but he gets hurt. Quincy Mauger comes in and is lost and confused. He actually should've given up a touchdown on this play but a big pass was given up by someone else and then he does give up a big pass.

His confusion flipped the momentum of the game. After the second big pass, a timeout was called, but it was called too late. And a lot of the defensive backfield got hurt on this series.

Yep, our "superior" talent on the OL has not looked very superior against a number of supposedly less talented teams including, GT, Nichols St., Vandy, etc. The box-score reveals 2 evenly matched teams reflected in the score. The difference in game was mistakes by our players. A high snap led to a missed FG. Eason threw an INT on a routine short pass and in general our defense hasn't been able to stop any team in our redzone all season. The game was a typical example of why our team finished with a 7-5 regular season record, not particularly surprising though with a new coaching staff and a true Freshman QB.
