A 1 team league (like Michigan has been relevant in 20 - 30 years)

2. USC - 3 - 1983, 1991, 2000
Another 1 team league
At least the Big 12 had Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas while Free Shoes had the Taters. Impressive with the SEC having The Six and still getting 3 schools on the list.
dcbl doing the heavy lifting with these threads

Wasn't one of those 4 a completely winless season though?

1979
Florida went 0-10-1

SEC is basically a one team league right now in my view.
The ACC was a one team league in the 90s and early 00s. CU wasn't just losing to FSU.

Clementine with TWELVE losing seasons on the last 50 years, the most recent being 2010

Didn't they also have a losing season in 1993 after forfeits?

Yes, on the field is where Alabama cheated by using ineligible players, so that's where they had losing records.

That counts double or triple

so what? are they handing out trophies this year for having less losing seasons?
i believe the two most recent losing ones were 6-7.

hey man, I am just pointing out the fact that Clementine has had over 20% losing seasons (and therefore being a mediocre to bad football program) for quite a few seasons over the last 50 years
I am so sorry that my decision to point out facts has upset you...

programs are only judged on a season by season basis.
there is no trophy waiting for results across seasons.
8 of those losing seasons were in 1976 and prior.
The other 4 are 5-6, 5-6, 6-7, and 3-8 seasons. To me a 5-6, 6-7 season shouldn't be lumped in with 3-8 seasons.

actually - I just noticed this from my source
so, 5 is correct with vacated wins
quote:
* Includes 1993, 2006, 2007 seasons in which vacated wins dropped winning percentage below .500.
** Last losing season does not include vacated wins. Alabama, for instance, went 7-6 in 2007 but had five wins vacated. Its last losing season was 2006, when it went 6-7 before wins were vacated.

I believe we have 4 or 5 winless seasons including 1918 when we went 0-1 while our boys had more important things going on in Europe. God bless 'em!
