No I'm pretty sure it is now the Shaw Me state.

I liked the idea of putting seats around the M and making it more like a real lure to the stadium and less an extra seating area. Make it pop with people all around it and it would be vastly improved.

In all honesty, the rock M is definitely unique and a cool feature, but, if Mizzou wants a bigger, more intimidating stadium, they're gonna have to do something different there.

Missouri is known as the Show Me State.

The most widely known legend attributes the phrase to Missouri's U.S. Congressman Willard Duncan Vandiver, who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1897 to 1903. While a member of the U.S. House Committee on Naval Affairs, Vandiver attended an 1899 naval banquet in Philadelphia. In a speech there, he declared, "I come from a state that raises corn and cotton and cockleburs and Democrats, and frothy eloquence neither convinces nor satisfies me. I am from Missouri. You have got to show me."

There you go.

I think most people know this, but the Rock M is deeply ingrained in our traditions. Every year, the first week of fall semester, Mizzou freshmen (who want to participate) go to the stadium and repaint the rocks white so they're nice and bright for football season. And on senior day, last home football game of the season, every Mizzou senior goes to the hill following the game and picks his own rock to keep, so he always has a piece of the stadium with him. The stadium was built in a rock quarry, and the rocks taken from there built some of the older parts of campus.

Traditions like that aren't just thrown away. There will likely always be a Rock M, somewhere at or in the stadium.

No, y'all most definitely changed it to the Shaw Me state after an injured Connor Shaw came into the game to lead our offense to an incredible comeback. Mizzourah is literally Shaw's whipping boy.

Did part of that sound funny in your head? Do people kind of meander off when you walk up to a group?

Even if no one sat on the hill (and those are just general admission tickets, you don't buy a ticket for the hill) Faurot would still be bigger than OM's stadium.
