It doesn't make it any less of a disorder if they don't need "professional help" or medication.

So where do we draw the line for a disorder? Everybody has mental issues in some form or another. I believe labeling every single issue people have as a disorder only contributes to the problem. People start to believe they're "sick" when they really are just going through what a shite ton of other people are going through.

Oh I perfectly understand your viewpoint. I just think it's mostly shite.

I don't think you do because you don't seem to be that far off from me.

You're clearly unaware of this despite your extensive "talks with neuropsychologists", but the brightest psychiatrists in the world meet every 8 years or so and actively discuss where that line is drawn for each disorder. They also openly discuss and reorganize these disorders as they learn more about them. It's called the DSM and if you'd like to know where that line is drawn we are currently on the fifth addition, DSM V.

Damn mental health can be some crazy shite. Anybody heard or seen what's going on with Delonte West? Scary stuff.

If you quote somebody, make sure they said it first. I didn't say that. I didn't imply that. I've talked to zero neuropsychologists. I have read things written by them though which is where I was getting some of my information.

But yeah I was unaware of this.

You have a link where I can look at some of these?

Gotta purchase it. However, if you're enrolled at a major university you can probably find access to it online through your library.

It's pricey to purchase, around $200, so it probably won't be worth it unless you intend to use it academically. If you search long enough I'm sure you could find an electronic .epub or .pdf version to download though

It very well could be CTE, it might be in his best interest to take the yr off. He and Gurley could be one of the top RB tandems in the league but this does not sound good, hopefully the Rams gives him all the support he needs.

Zero chance that's what you were thinking during that play.

I would trade 1 year in the NFL for a lifetime of CTE.

Nobody put a gun to anyone's head to make them play full contact football.

McDonald's is more at fault for giving people fatty livers than the NFL is for giving people CTE.
