bragging about their next Natty.

the defense played well. florida st could not run the all at all. fla state's defense played well.

but the gumps did it on special team and found a way.

they have to be a little concerned about that offense. do you need to do more than double team Ridley and then concentrate on stopping the run?

Harris is a quality SEC back but nothing special. Bo couldn't get on track, although he didn't get a lot of carries.

I'm pleased with my tigers but it's still way too early to start thinking about the game in NOvember.

But you've already started thinking about it.

We certainly have concerns about the offense, especially the O line, but fortunately we have some games before we meet LSU to get better. LSU's D looks nasty, we we don't improve enough on O we are in trouble.

Florida State's talented defense had something to do with the inconsistency of the Bama offense. Of course, Alabama always starts a little slow. The play calling was vanilla for the most part.Very conservative gameplan translated into no turnovers.

The offense will be fine.

Bama will not see a better defensive front all year than they saw with FSU.

It's also the first game. Alabama won't be tested for 2 months. That'll give them time to gel.
Biggest improvements for freshman is 2nd year. Hurts should have a good year once the o-line gels and Josh Jacobs gets back at RB.

So you expected Gumps to be bragging, they weren't, but you decided to make a list as if they were anyway?

Sounds about right.

There's really no need to brag.. we realize we can play exactly like we did saturday and beat everyone on our schedule by double digits... Kind of amazing when you really think about it.

Bama's next games are Fresno State; Colorado State before we go into SEC play. First SEC game is Vandy.

Why would you expect that? We barely brag when we win Nattys these days. We expect championships. We expect to win. Roll damn Tide

Better, maybe not. But they will see 2 or three with equal talent.

That's what they led themselves to believe anyway.
