I'm just curious.

I don't care if you use rankings during the season or the rankings post-season. If you post a record, just advise whether it is season rankings or post-season rankings.
(If it is post-season rankings, don't use BCS as they don't re-figure after the bowl games).

TIA

Using AP
UGA
2012 3-2 post season rankings
2012 2-2 regular season rankings

2013 2-4 post season rankings
2013 2-3 regular season rankings

2014 4-1 post season rankings
2014 4-2 regular season rankings

Post season = 9-7
Regular season = 8-7

7-0

Saban has a valid excuse for all of our supposed "losses" so those don't count.

Good point. Also worth noting is that it doesn't count as a loss if you beat yourself.

How do you explain SC having the best record since 2012? I'm sure there's a good explanation, but that stands out.

I noticed that too. Very impressive... here is their list of wins over teams who finished in the top 25 in either poll, with the score and the team's final ranking in both polls.

2012
Vanderbilt (17-13), 23/20
Georgia (35-7), 5/4
Clemson (27-17), 11/9
Michigan (33-28), 24/NR

2013
Vanderbilt (35-25), 24/23
Central Florida (28-25), 10/12
Missouri (27-24), 5/5
Clemson (31-17), 8/7
Wisconsin (34-24), 22/21

2014
Georgia (38-35), 9/9

how do you define a top 25 team? Top 25 when you played them or top 25 at the end of the season?

Whichever you want to use.

Tuscaloosa already posted for Missouri using post-season ending rankings.

If you want to look up the regular season to see if it's different, help yourself.

The 3-10 record against top 25 teams by Mizzou might explain a lot of the "why do we never get respect" posts on here.
