Sources are telling me that Chavis is already regretting his decision to leave LSU. He misses the days when Les Miles would protect the football and not keep chunking pick 6's. if you recall, Chavis came to lsu the year after Jarrett Lee's freshman season.

Of important note: Bama's offense is one of the worst this year on 3rd downs.

Chavis defenses always look good on paper, but choke in crunch time. LSU fans know this all too well.

Will take this in any 15 point could have been 22 point kneel down victory any day.

Examining Chavis LSU style.

2 last minute opposing drives down one possession or less this season.. Opponents are 0/2.

Looks great on paper but plays soft against the run and just lost to Bama. Just like the good old days.

Shouldn't be a problem when you're beating shite teams

Doesn't come into affect when you get 40+ scored on you

So, no sample size

Actually, 1st quarter and Chavis was in effect. He made great adjustments after that and the defense played well.

This examination is irrelevant without the yardage and the situation. Bama converted at least two third and long enough that it shouldn't be converters because of the shite defensive call of Chavis. Thanks for taking him from us.

Also, remember when yall were like wait until Chavis has an offense, looks like that's worked out well for yall. At least Chavis didn't get a chance to blow it at the end against Bama. So there's that.

The defense held Bama to 20 points, plenty enough for us to win.

After the 1Q, this is the result of their drives:

Punt
Punt (3 and out; ret for TD)
Punt (3 and out)
Punt (3 and out)
Punt (3 and out)
FG
Punt (4 and out)
FG
Punt (3 and out)

I don't think you understand what 3rd and Chavis really means. But I can see how you think he's a great DC after having years with really bad defenses. Just wait until he loses some important games for you late in the fourth . Then you'll understand. Also I want to see your defense in four years with nothing but his recruiting bc he's a bad recruiter. He's not very charismatic but Sumlin can make up for that a little. The man came and talked a leadership conference I attended in 2012. He looked like a guy that lives in his moms basement and has a graveyard of little kids in the backyard. Very creppy man who clearly did not want to be there. Was not impressed.
