I will miss Uncle Verne for nostalgia purposes but imo Nessler is the #1 play by play guy in CFB.

Nessler is as perfect a replacement as could be found.
A local guy, done tons of SEC games so the fans are very familiar with him and, most importantly, he's great at it.

Nessler and Blackledge are the GOAT football announcing combo. Enjoy every single game those two announce together (which is hard because frick Todd Blackledge for beating UGA in the Sugar Bowl in the early 80s)
