Same throwing motion and arm strength. Not sure if he'll be able to take advantage of an Eddie-less Tide secondary. I think Bama gets a couple of picks for sure.

Etling has a weaker arm and better mobility in the pocket. He's more like Matt Flynn than he is Jarrett Lee. His throwing motion is nothing like Lee's either. Sometimes I think you just make stuff up, roll with it, and hope it sticks

Is that your expert opinion? Want to hear mine on Jalen Hurts? Dude wouldn't start on any team that didn't have all 5 stars around him. Can throw the deep ball about as accurately as stevie wonder. Is JFF but not anywhere near as good. He's a RB at QB blah blah blah

Jarrett Lee had a nice Arm. Etling has a McElroy type arm. Very pedestrian with no zip. He floats anything over ten yards.

I do worry about etling vs Bama though based on the weak arms. IMO the way to beat Bama is the deep ball. You have to put it up over the top on them. You can't play side line to sideline or try slow plays. Bama is just too good for that. They don't get beat by trick plays or misdirection. It's 50/50 balls that beat them and good rushing once you hit them deep.

That is highly probable. I'm not very high on Hurts right now. I think he's quickly slipping into a "I know this is supposed to be a pass play, but I'm gonna take off" mentality. Dude is young, so I expect some mistakes, but he needs to stick with the plan some, too. What he's doing is working for now, I guess, but man I think he completed 1 pass beyond 10 yards yesterday. That won't beat elite teams.

Yeah he's a lot more similar to Flynn than Lee. Mobility and pocket presence.

DE has only started a few games. Imagine this guy with all the games under his belt that Brandon H. had. I think he will be really good next year but a new offensive coor. will probably make it alittle more difficult.
