Freeze just can't catch a break. Even his own recruits are outing him and getting him in trouble without meaning to. Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

I'm all for Ole Miss getting whatever they deserve too, but that's not what he said. He was trying, poorly, mind you, to make a point about the NCAA percecuation of Ole Miss being similar to how Jesus was persecuted and paid the ultimate price. Jesus, of course, was innocent. Freeze tryna day OM is innocent but may still pay a price is what it sounded like. Did not sound like he was claiming those who govern college football, a sport supported most rabidly by conservative (who it wouldn't be a reach to say also identify as Christian) are after his program because he, too, professes a belief in Jesus.

I'm not saying the article doesn't accurately quote the recruit. I'm saying it's possible the recruit doesn't accurately quote Freeze.
Either way, it's irrelevant. The NCAA will do what it needs to do based on the evidence in front of it, and it won't be pretty.

Not really. Freeze was making a ludicrous point, and essentially calling it religious persecution. It was pretty cheap.
(Also, Jesus wasn't completely innocent. He wasn't sowing revolt against the Romans, true, but he did exactly what they were accusing him of doing when he claimed divinity and created a commotion with his religious teachings. Whether you believe in his divinity or not, the point of the entire story wasn't his guilt or innocence of worldly charges but being a sacrificial lamb for humanity as a whole. Maybe someone could shoot Freeze an email to that effect?)

I'm not a Christian. Pure agnostic. But I'm completely correct about the Bible. Sorry it hurts your feelings that you literally don't understand the foundation of your entire religion.
