ESPN's FPI now only giving LSU a 56% chance to beat Miss St. Was at 70%

I actually think this is going to be a really good game. This will not be one of those where LSU wins comfortably, if we even win at all. We will need Arden Key and Rashard Lawrence to play in order for me to feel reasonable confidence.
FPI now gives State the second best chance to beat Bama behind Auburn.. Damn

Ive been saying this is a 50-50 game. I don't like it coming down to kicking though, so I'll concede 6% to LSU because of State's kicking woes.

They saw our FG kicker last night.

The same formula that had Stanford with a 60% chance to beat USC yesterday?
Disclaimer:
I may have looked at it wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what I saw on the bottom ticker yesterday morning.

Wait so state and LSU both suck at kicking FG's?

Have you seen lsu kicking?

I wasn't very impressed last night. Hopefully, it was just a lack of intensity vs. a rent-a-win opponent.

Lsu 31. MS 17. If key and Lawrence play. If not. Lsu 31 to 28

Worthless.
ESPN tries to hype games for viewership. They're dishonest

I mean, LSU obviously wins. But only with a full, well-executed game. It should be a good game, honestly.

Mullen refuses to give a scholarship to a kicker.
That kicker that won the Groza Award for best kicker at Louisiana Lafayette a couple years ago was a lifelong Mississippi State fan from Brandon, MS who begged for a partial scholarship.
I appreciate what Mullen has done for MSU, but he's stubborn on the kicker thing. We lost three games last year because of kicking woes. So far this season, we are 2-4 on FGs and have had two XP's blocked.

If our kicking doesn't improve it'll cost us games as well

I have a hard time believing anyone scoring over 24 points against a healthy LSU defense this year.
