Guice is 2..........
I don't understand the Chubb thing. He was an elite back, but he has not shown that he is still an elite back since the injury and yet some people continue to rank his based on his freshman year.
I also don't get the Myles Gaskins love. He was just another guy when we saw them.

It's user voted on the espn website for ranking the best running backs and because you linked it on this website, Guice will end up being number 1

His freshman year needs to explanation because it was phenomenal.
His sophomore year before the injury he was a frontrunner for the Heisman after 91 carries for 746 yards (8.2 ypc!) and 7 TDs in 5 games (plus another TD receiving).
His junior year, less than a year removed from the injury, he wasn't his normal self but still rushed for 1130 yards and 8 TDs (while splitting carries with a guy who ran for 850 on the season), behind a horrendous OL, with a TFr QB, and a brand new offensive scheme.
It's really not hard to see why in his senior season and 100% fully healthy, with an improved OL and presumably improved QB, that he can put up excellent numbers again.

Yea - he's still a very good back, I just wonder if he will ever be back to those pre-injuries skills. Maybe so, I just don't know if I'd have him as the #3 back in America.
I hope for his sake he is back to normal. Seems like a great kid.

I think a lot of people are sleeping on Damien Harris. Scarbrough is physically more impressive with his size, but I think Harris is tremendously good and quite overlooked. The guy averaged 7ypc.
Last year Bo had 1 really good game and then like 4 more pretty good games.

I don't think he is the second best back in the country, but it's not unreasonable to think he will come back stronger a year removed from major knee surgery. He has shown elite vision and patience. I truly believe we will see the old Chubb back this year, but he won't get nearly the same hype because he will be splitting carries with Michel.
edit: he had over 1,100 yards last year, so it's not like he was a scrub.

I would rather have a bruiser in the Kam Pettway/D Henry mold. In the 3rd and 4th quarter, those guys break D's.

My hope is that is basically what Bo does this year. Jacobs/D. Harris/N. Harris for 3 quarters and then Bo comes in fresh late in the 3rd and the 4th. He may only get 10-12 carries a game, but it will maximize his abilities and hopefully help with his injuries. And he will average like 11 YPC.

Right. He's not the same guy. That was a horrific knee injury. The type that you're unlikely to ever fully recover from.
Chubb at 85%-90% is still a good back, but he very obviously was not the same guy last year.
Can he get back to that? Maybe. We shall see.
