I mean it's embarrassingly bad at ranking teams. The top 4 are all big 12 teams... Including Oklahoma state. USC in the top 10 ahead of LSU

I'm glad you didn't do anything crazy like actually posting the fpi here for us to see.

But the mission was accomplished. You're talking about it.

You can most likely thank Tennessee for this shite.
Oh, and Arkansas.
Any other SEC teams lose to the B12?

I don't think it's an actual ranking, is it? It's predicted some unpopular/unlikely wins. I'm not trying to knight for it, just pointing that out.

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season.
Not meant to be a Top 25 ranking like the AP or Coaches Poll.
It's actually pretty accurate.

Nobody takes ESPN's made up bullshite "metric" seriously at all.
The point spread is single best metric you'll ever have, any "new" metrics people invent that are worth a damn will always be reflected in it anyway.

Really? Because it had Ole Miss at No. 1 after we beat Vandy.

One of the first things Colin Cowherd said after moving to FOX was that ESPN makes things up.Like the FPI, and the QBR. He said they're just made up formulas that ESPN came up with.. So really it's nothing but bullshite.
