Kentucky coach John Calipari will be elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame while Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan did not receive enough votes to get in, sources told ESPN.com on Sunday.
A source told ESPN.com that it was extremely close with Calipari reaching the 18 votes necessary to get in. An official announcement is expected Monday morning in Indianapolis.

The fact he can even be eligible speaks to our sad sports mentality

Ok. So are we going to leave out Izzo and the other best coaches in the nation? Because they cheat just as much as Cal does.

U think? I'm not so sure

Why people think UK is dirty while programs like Kansas and Duke are "clean" is unfathomable.

Pretty sure. How else does Bill Self get so many good players to go to Kansas? How does Izzo get players to go to Michigan State?

Because they're dumb and just hate Cal. I understand why they hate him but to act like he's the only one playing dirty is just willful ignorance.

I can't recall duke vacating anything. Granted I don't give them much thought but I think I would have heard about it.
Just seems hall of fame would mean more to its members than allowing a guy that leaves a wave of vacated victories in his wake at every stop. Its just my opinion
You can say everyone does it if you want, but that's your opinion

Just because they haven't vacated anything doesn't mean they don't cheat. Hopefully you're not that naive.

Kansas' title in 2008 was won with an ineligible player. Boosters regularly hire parents for "jobs" at both Duke and Kansas. I forget the exact percentage, but something like 70% of Kansas' players' parents ended up moving to Lawrence. There was the association with the slimy Pump brothers and the ticket selling scandal which involved player parents as well. It's rampant. You can say not everyone is doing it. But it's more than just Cal. And it's not close.

That's not what I said. But you assuming they cheat because they win is ok?
I'm sure u Got tired of hearing the ole miss cheats stuff after their out of nowhere recruiting class. Its the same principle

To be successful in college basketball today, you have to cheat to some extent. Too many dirty handlers and AAU coaches.

Well there's no proof that Cal cheated to get those players to go to Kentucky. "He did it at Memphis and UMass" isn't evidence.

I don't believe that either. The fact they don't knowingly go after cheaters makes others cheat as well, but u don't have to cheat to be successful

Will he have to vacate it in a few years?

The whole story is about the hall of fame induction, not just his time At UK
If you want to believe he cheated everywhere else but stopped when he cam to UK that's fine. I can respect your opinion. To believe that and call me naive is hilarious though

Most teams which are regularly in the mix for NCAA tourney success are, at the very least, pushing the boundaries of NCAA rules.

It is the same in every sport. People call Bama cheaters, ignoring that their own team is just as dirty. I see a couple of asshurt Bama fans all the time complaining about Ole Miss being dirty, and I just shake my head.
It is really damn annoying. If Cal is a cheater, everyone else is too.

I don't think he stopped. I think he cheats but so does everyone else. So holding it against him while praising Tom Izzo and Mike Krzyzewski is just dumb.
