Wichita State does not belong in the tournament, unless they win it outright- which they probably will.
Even if they do, they don't deserve a 9 seed. 1 win vs top 50 RPI, SOS outside the top 100, 0-3 in neutral site games and 5-5 in non-conference opponents.
*edit- excuse me, they have 2 wins vs the top 50 RPI. Their record is 2 and fricking 7 vs the top 50 RPI.

Not as egregious as LSU being a 7-seed based on their entire resume. 69th in RPI, 51st in BPI, 57th in KenPom.
I think LSU has as much talent as anyone, but there's some clear Simmons bias going on.
Eta: I do understand how good LSU has been in conference play with a healthy Hornsby. One of the better teams in the nation.

One is looking at RPI almost exclusively, the other is taking a lot more things into account outside of that (like conference record, missing players, etc).

The problem is a lot of the teams around them have been slipping too.

If Bama goes 3-3 no way they make the tournament unless they win the SECT. 9-9 will not get it done in the SEC, way too weak of a conference.

our OOC record is selection committee porn in my not so humble opinion and should give us some leeway
I'm not talking a 4 seed or anything - but we've got the OOC to warrant heavy consideration for those play-in games
