Enlighten me LSU fans

Ole Miss won at Arkansas State last night and guaranteed itself a winning record for the 2015 season... Our RPI currently sits at 28 but I'm still nervous we might possibly get left out of postseason play due to your 2011 team getting passed on with an RPI of 26... How did that happen ? What was the committee's explanation ? TIA

Didn't even make the sec tourney that year and I think we ended the year on a bit of a losing streak

They left us out because we ended the season losing more than winning.

If ole miss can win a game or 2 against texas a&m and manage to win a couple in the tournament you shouldn't have anything to worry about

The committee has been taking at-large teams from the MW and NE.That coupled with LSU not making the SEC Tournament made the decision easier.

Didn't make the SEC tourney, losing SEC record, and I think they stresses conference record more than normal that year.
They decided to take St. John's who had a good year by their standards over LSU who had a poor year by our standards.

This usually doesn't happen. Your RPI should be good enough to make the tournament. I think you guys are okay. If you guys do well against Texas A&M and in the SEC tournament, that just makes things a whole lot better.

Yep. But I recall the year Mississippi State didn't make the SEC tourney and LSU did, but Mississippi State made the NCAA and LSU didn't.
