End normal recruiting and have a NFL like draft in college instead

This would make it easier and fair and you all would quit crying right?
Instead of letting kids pick what school they want, if you get ranked by a recruiting service in the top 300, you get drafted. All schools have a chance to compete that way.

Do you cry for your father Larry? What about him?

Unless you start paying kids there is no legal backing for something like this.
NCAA doesn't want a level playing field anyway. Bad for business

Bernie Sanders supports this message.

Saban wouldn't have any 5*'s to process then

I've been saying this for years.
If kids want to get paid like the pros, there ought to be some requirements to make it fair for the schools:
*A draft of the top 455 players
*Why 455? There are 65 Power programs. Each Power program gets 7 draft picks each year.
After the top 455 kids, I think an argument can be made that free tuition is a huge benefit to the other kids, and no additional "payment" is necessary.
Obviously 1st round kids would get paid the most
2nd round kids slightly less
3rd round kids even less
... and go on down the line.
If a kid doesn't want to play for the school that drafts him, then he can go play wherever he wants, but he does not get paid.
If schools are going to be forced to pay kids an additional sum of money (in additional to the free tuition, room & board, meals, etc.), then the schools ought to have some say in who they want to pay. It goes both ways.

I'm sure the top players in LA would love to get drafted by Minnesota

I would draft Larry's father but he's dead.

It will never happen.

Is there anyway to force the removal of the script "A" from Larry's nom de guerre? He is purposefully a poser and fraud-fan who seems 100 percent dedicated to embarrassing the Alabama fan base. Oh well, his father must be proud.

Larry, you cain't be that stupid. Or can you?

Larry, that's a dumb thing to do. Why not just drop scholarships for University Athletes and create a minor league system where football players can train to be football players instead of pretending to be students.
That would solve everything.
