Ed's old Natchez Trace used to run from Oxford to Tulane. Forget trying to string it out from Tennessee to the West Coast once. Didn't matter.

He's already hired a crew to go in and bush hog that old road and he's out there with his shirt off with a machete knocking down some smaller growth himself. The old Oxford/Tulane route is easy to convert to a Baton Rouge/Oxford.

Ed's got the personality to make this go down smoothly. When the Natchez Trace is back in business, Ed will jump up in Ole Miss 5 star's faces and have his way with any of them.

Ed: "Boy I don't blame Tunsil or you or anyone else for squealing on a little choir boy like Freeze during the NFL draft! WHO WOULDN'T DO IT TO FREEZE!"

Ole Miss 5 Star: "Yessa, yessa.."

Ed: "BUT YOU KNOW THAT WOULDN'T FLY DOWN HERE IN THE BAYOU, RIGHT MUTHA FRICKA?!!"

Ole Miss 5 Star: "Oh yessa..!YESSA!!"

Ed: "NOW DROP DOWN AND GIMME 20 BOY AND GET YO arse TO BATON ROUGE!!!"

Ole Miss 5 Star: "Yessa yessa!!"

That's the crib notes version.

Ed will help the ones he doesn't want to relocate to Kentucky, and a good chunk of Ole Miss 3 stars will be headed to Florida Atlantic.

By way of Orgeron's charms.

I don't "think this will happen." It's going to happen. Shea Patterson staying? Nope. None of them are staying.

Look at him and tell me I'm wrong

I have no idea what's happening but I feel like this is almost a possible thread about LSU started by an Arkansas fan.

So I am pretty confused.

Great thread, HRV.

I coincidently watched a documentary about the Natchez Trace recently and there is some validity in your theory.

The Natchez Trace started out as a natural path used by migrating wildlife from Tennessee to the spot in Mississippi which is now Natchez. The US Army cleared the Natchez Trace in 1803 that opened it up to wagon travel. During this time, just east of Natchez in what is now called the Homochitto (Native American name for "Buttfricking Shitheads") National Forest, a secluded settlement was discovered consisting of a group of wealthy landowners who had enslaved a bunch of homos.

As Christian settlers moved into the area. the landowners were forced to free their homo slaves on February 26, 1805. Many believe this is the model Abraham Lincoln used for the Emancipation Proclamation.

The homos gathered their belongings and began a long trek North to look for a suitable spot for their culture. They started the journey in what is now Jackson and formed a new trail northward on the same path that is now Interstate 55. It was known by the Native Americans as the "Trail of Bumcrack". Over time, no one wanted to go to Natchez anymore, but to New Orleans. And, yep, that trail went right down Tulane Avenue.

The band of homos found a spot where they could practice their beliefs in a peaceful area they called "The Groove", which is located in what is now Oxford. These brave folks are considered the true founders of the of the town and their culture is still dominate in the community.

Sorry for derailing the thread, HRV. I'm sure you already knew this stuff.

Carry on.

Central, there's been numerous whispers about goings on with the Natchez Trace, where the bodies are buried in the literal sense alah the Dixie Mafia, so much so you'd think the damn thing goes all the way to Newport, Tenn, where every sheriff of Cocke County has gone to prison since the 1950's

anyway, I'd heard of the high rate of homos that you're talking about too. I always thought they'd migrated to Missouri, and there's evidence that could point to me being right on that, but Oxford could have been a settling point for them too. I can see some of that Savannah "Garden of good and evil" type stuff with trannies walking around going on there. But I think they keep it under wraps, the same way we've kept hidden the shannanigans that happened in the basement of the old Mountain Inn in Fayetteville decades ago.

I just think it's a shame that Ed Orgeron is getting ready to bend Ole Miss over.

U can't drive the damn thing around sunset or sunrise in the fall because of the damn deer. I have seen almost every animal u can think of on the Trace from red wolves to cougars deer and bobcats.

We saw a buck a few years ago that we all thought was a wild horse at first. It was big it was freaky, still not sure it wasn't half horse or something. Parts of it are really creepy too. I would be surprised if lots of bodies are just off the road
