With more and more transfers taking place lets look back at each teams best transfer player...
Alabama - Shaud Williams
He came in from Texas Tech with Franchione, after Mike Leach was hired there. Team leader and a fan favorite during a time of frustration for many Bama fans. I believe he made all-sec 2nd or 3rd team. Played for a few years in the NFL.
Auburn - Cam Newton
Came in from Florida/Mississippi State /Blinn Jr College. We all know the story.
Arkansas - Ryan Mallet
Transfer from Michigan after Lloyd carr's last season. played under Petrino and went to Sugar Bowl but lost to Tattoo U. Plays for Texans now/projected to start.
Drawing a blank on other teams.

would Mett be considered a transfer player?

Do JUCO transfers count? Because I would say either C-Patterson or Charlie Garner.

LSU - Zach Mettenberger, Demetrius Byrd. LSU really hasn't had many transfer players that ended up playing much
Tennessee - Cordarrelle Patterson
Ole Miss - Bo Wallace, Jevan Snead
Miss State - JJ Johnson

For SC:
I could make an argument for ILB asper Brinkley.

D Byrd was another notable LSU transfer.

A&M has 3. 2 will start (Carson, Hilliard). The other will play significantly at RB and CB.

Patrick Trahan spent 4 years in the NFL recently...
can you count someone transferring from one sport to the other? If so, Jeremy Parnell was a solid OLineman for the cowboys last year and got traded to the Jags(RIP his career).
Tony Bridges is good enough to be our best Juco transfer.
