Yeah, South Louisiana has a different drinking culture altogether.
Apart from that, claiming that your school "drinks sooooo much!!" is kinda lame. It just suggests that there is literally nothing else worth doing in the town. It isn't particularly hard to drink as a college student, unless you're at a Baptist college or something.

Don't sleep on Vandy. They have a higher population of people who study more than party but when they party, they really do throw down.

I had several friends that went Vandy and have been a couple times, I don't disagree. And the large populace of rich kids lends itself to a drug scene as well. But I still don't think it's quite on the same level as the large public schools in the SEC. It's just different.

Dude, seriously?
One week later that position coach steamrolled your shite-arse team 42-7. Maybe Missouri would be well served hiring a position coach as HC.

Yeah, I live in Nashville right near Vandy. They have a ton of foreign students and students that are there strictly to go to school, not a lot of partying. Sure you have your rich frat boy types that do plenty of drugs and drink their fair share. But nowhere else in the SEC have I driven by campus on a gameday and seen so many students with backpacks on going to the library to study.
Now, Nashville as a city, it easily the best in the SEC. It's not a college town by any stretch, but it's definitely the best IMO. And it's getting better every day in terms of restaurants and nightlife options. Full disclosure, I left Atlanta to move back to TN a few years ago and feel like Nashville is headed that way which is both good and bad. The influx of transplants is causing this city traffic and the price of living to be absurd, basically becoming a mini Atlanta

No doubt, Nashville is awesome. That was kind of what I meant though, you have kids studying on Friday and Saturday nights there. That's a pretty rare occurrence everywhere else in the SEC

I live here too and its just not a college town. Belmont and Lipscomb kids are weird and/or religious, Vandy kids are in large part nerdy non-party people (fraternities are exception, but its a minority).
The town itself is a big party town, but its all Southeastern post-grads living here in their 20's from Alabama, UGA, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, Clemson, USCe, etc.

Nashville and Austin are really very similar, but one main difference you can see is having UT vs a smattering of smaller private schools. It gives Austin more of a college town feel vs Nashville having more of a big city feel, even though I think Austin metro area is bigger (or they're close)

There is very little difference in how much most large state schools drink per student. Especially ones in the SEC where none are elite academically. Louisiana just has a different drinking culture
Athens is pretty damn lax on underage drinking. I was young looking 19(I still get carded) for the 09 game and they never carded me or if they did it was half assed.
It may have changed but Athens parties

I'm guessing you don't understand how lists work. Someone has to be first, somebody has to be last. That's kind of how it works, you simple frick.

I spent 4 years in Auburn and 3 years at UGA, and there really isn't much difference in how much people drink.
At what point did your parents say "Enough! GTFO of college"?

It's funny you think Vandy brats don't drink, and heavy.

When I was a grad student at LSU we literally had our weekly lab meeting at a bar. All of us went out multiple nights a week. We kept a keg in the on campus training clinic on game day. Drinking was not optional. God I miss Baton Rouge.
