Does the SECr think JaMarcus Russell can make a comeback? Why or why not?

It's looking like he'll be able to be back to his playing weight by May. Training daily with Jeff Garcia.

I think he has a chance strictly because of his physical abilities. But I think he'll be sent to play in Canada or something to see if he can maintain his weight and motivation.

It would certainly be an amazing comeback story if he succeeded.

It's amazing what someone can do when they kick a drug addiction. He was on that purple drank in a bad way.

This is all I can think of now

I agree with the Canada deal, I don't think anyone's giving him a shot without seeing some major changes and progress.

I hope so, but I doubt it. Once you get away from the game it is hard to come back. If this was baseball with a farm system to improve your skills, then yes. Maybe he can go to Canada, etc. for a couple of years.

I'm rooting for him after seeing that short ESPN clip of him. He's working his arse off and just went through some hard times with a horrible organization. I'd love to see someone give him a shot, even if its in a back-up role.

No it will not. He will still be the same fat POS who stole money from the Raiders so he could do drugs. Frick Russell, I hope he DIAF.

Yea, he clearly was battling addiction and depression. Depression can be helped with another shot at his dream. And the fact that he has work ethic again shows he's hopefully kicked his addiction.

Like I said, he definitely has the skill set.

You shouldn't hold all of your emotions in, it's ok to let your feelings out from time to time

He should get definitely get a shot at a camp, with the weak QB draft class coming in.

True. And if he makes weight, and Garcia puts his name behind him, it could work out. Gives me chills thinking about it actually.

He was so damn fun to watch.

I think both he and Vince Young get the opprotunity to at least be back-up QB's. Im rooting for both of them
