Wolf can't blow the brick house down but the Koolaide man can smash through brick walls with ease.
(interesting as he is made out of glass and filled with liquid)

Back in 2008 I said the Irish would go ACC and everybody at the rod and gun club had a good laugh.

ACC got 5 games and full non football membership which put the ACC on better P4 footing than the B12 now enjoys. Only way the Irish leave the ACC is if it implodes which I am pretty sure the SEC and ESPN will not allow.

Notre Dame isn't a full member of the ACC. That is what I'm talking about.

Whatever you say, sweetheart. If the SEC had to cut A&M or Tennessee, it would cut Tennessee. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.

You are literally a fricking idiot.

You seem to have an over-inflated opinion of your program, which for the record, has always been second rate.

You were not a top tier program in your last conference. You are not one here either.

they are for every sport but football.

they play enough ACC games in football that the casual fan won't see a difference.

SEC has no power over the ACC.

Reason ACC won't implode is the conference tv contract plus the historic core of the conference has been together for a long time, and the newest members like Pittsburgh and Syracuse won't be approached by SEC, and they are estatic about being in the ACC.

Clemson-UNC-NCState-UVA-Wake-Duke have been together since 1953. G Tech joined in 1978. FSU in 1991. I'm confused why some people think it is ready to break apart.

Why on earth would the SEC kick TN out? They would kick A&M out way before TN.

A&M got invited AFTER the SEC couldn't get Oklahoma.

TN recruits better in NC and VA than most SEC schools. they should move to ACC. they can't be punished for it as SEC has no GOR.

Clemson, va tech, pitt seem like more natural rivals for tenn. if we pull in wvu in a few years, maybe to replace wake who waves white flag due to losing money on football and basketball, ACC could have a lock on Appalachia

Yet

Just like you can not get part pregnant, the Irish are just going to use the next decade before they announce they are with child and the ACC is the daddy.

Shotgun weddings happen fast but they get legitimized by the time the kids grow up so the scandal no longer exists.

...and we would kick them to the curb if we had a chance to trade them for Oklahoma or Texas either one.

I don't see that.

Right now Texas AM looks like best program out of those 3, if they can get some improvement on defense.

Clemson stomped Okla last year in a bowl game with COle Stoudt having a career passing day. Cole stoudt. lol the emperor has no clothes. Wake and Syracuse played us tougher last year than Olka

One thing I just saw while researching expansion history is that TCU had accepted a invitation to join the former Big East, prior to Pitt and Cuse moving to ACC. If they had joined Big East, good chance they would have ended up in ACC too. I think they would be a good fit for ACC.

????
TAMU was in the SIAA 100 years ago and OU was not
TAMU was on the invite list in the 90's and OU was not

Care to try again?

A&M was a perennial also-ran in their old conference. They will fare no better in the SEC.

Texas and Oklahoma are perennial powerhouses. Like every team they might have a down period, but will return.

I think Okla tends to be overrated. Texas rarely looks that great either, even when they were better under Mack Brown. He only won one title right, and that was basically Vince Young carrying the team.

A lot more programs are competitive or trying to be competitive in football than back in the day. I think any powerhouse struggling to recruit now has some long term issues to deal with, or their coach is really bad recruiter.

I don't think programs like Michigan and Nebraska will ever be powerhouses again.

I can see Tenn improving a little but they still have to count on getting good recruits out of other states to replace all the ones in western TN that get poached by other schools actually closer.

Gophers sure are taking their own sweet time to return!

With realignment and conference consolidation their return is possible but by no means assured.

I just reviewed where top recruits in NC and Vrignia have gone the past 7 years and it appears they tend to either stay in state, or go out of state to another ACC school like Clemson or big 10 school (ohio state, penn state).

I would have figured vast majority of them were going to SEC programs. I assume most if not all of them were recruited by SEC.

Based on this, I am not sure you would see much better football teams at UNC, NC State, UVA, VA Tech if they changed to SEC

Yea, just like people were saying the last several years that a northern team would never win a national title again.

Reality = two northern teams played for the national title last season. lol.
