Let's be honest, the only team that looks like it stands a chance to rise up over the next few years is maybe UF. Maybe.

Outside of that, the East winner is basically irrelevant and the assumed loser of the SECCG since Tebow left.

I mean we can all concede that Ole Miss could have won the East and AU has a good competitive year every now and then.

How About:

West

Bama
LSU
MSU
Arky
Mizzou
A&M
Vandy

East

UT
Ole Miss
AU
USC
UGA
UF
UK

Could have? Sure, but Florida smoked Ole Miss.

That's a scorching hot take right there.

I agree that only Auburn can help the East be great again.

Y'all would still have to play Georgia, so that's at least 1 L.

Why in the world would Ole Miss agree to that? Only traditional game on there is the restoral of the game with UT.

Should the SEC be realigned for the West's sake? Let's be real no team is winning that division as long as Alabama is there.

While most of us know AU would gladly move to the East, but why the hell would an East team want to move to the West?

I know it has been awhile (I have lurked on here a long time before I made a profile), but I remember this thread in reverse.

What year would Ole Miss have won the East?

Exactly. The divisions are pretty even in reality. If you look at programs with a NC ceiling there are 3 in each division (possibly 4 in the West if you want to include A&M)

Awful. Puts 5 of the big 6 in the East.

He said last season despite the fact that they got absolutely destroyed by the actual East winner.

No but a logical move geographically is for Auburn to move to the East and Missouri to the West where they belong. This would somewhat strength the East and reduce the travel distance for Missouri and the remaining East teams. The scheduling issues associated with rivalries could be worked out.

Or get rid of the directional division names and call them the Bryant and Dooley divisions. There....done.

What is wrong with that? They should all play each other..Would make for a more exciting season and would revive old yearly rivalries.
