Yes

If you can point to your players getting drafted, you have a much better chance of landing top prospects

Alphabetically:

Alabama (44) ... more tradition, more 5 star players than any other program in the SEC.

Arkansas (19) ... you would think they would have more, amirite?

Auburn (27) ...

Florida (39) ...

Georgia (39) ...

Kentucky (13) ...

LSU (42) ...

Ole Miss (17) ...

Miss State (16) ...

Missouri (22) ... GP develops his players. Seriously, given how they never rank high in the recruiting rankings, this is very very respectable.

South Carolina (30) ...

Tennessee (33) ... how have they not done better the past six or seven years?

Texas A&M (27) ...

Vanderbilt (14) ...

By the numbers:

Alabama 44
LSU 42
Florida 39
Georgia 39
Tennessee 33
South Carolina 30
Auburn 27
Texas A&M 27
Missouri 22
Arkansas 19
Ole Miss 17
Miss St 16
Kentucky 13
Vandy 14

No, wrong .... you point to your well-known players in the NFL who have show longevity in numbers at a prospect's position.

The draft doesn't matter one bit in the overall scheme of things other than bragging rights for a very small window of time.

Yes it does. If your college team isn't producing drat picks your team isn't likely winning games. It is that simple.

No, wrong .... elite prospects don't come to a school to become an UDFA

They come to be drafted and drafted early

They come to play in the NFL, to be developed for the NFL. They know very little about where a player was drafted ... and that's a fact. Unless it was a first rounder, they know very little about where a player was drafted.

When they visit they want to know about how many players from the program are in the NFL at their position. That's the absolute simple fact of the matter.

They come, they take the tour, they look around at the Big Head stickers on the wall and if they see their favorite player at their position ... that's what catches their eye.

Notre Dame used to have a great system back in the day.

When you visited Notre Dame they asked you what number you wore, or you wanted to wear ... then they took you to a locker with that number on it and there, in that locker, would be a set of Notre Dame jerseys, all with the same number, but with different players who played at Notre Dame who were either All-Americans or playing in the NFL .... and every locker with every number had jerseys hanging it in.

Nowhere was there anything about where they were taken in the draft.

If you keep pressing your illegitimate point then I'm going to start thinking you really don't know anything about how recruiting and the NFL works.

The only thing most coaches in the SEC will use, in terms of drafts, are that the SEC is the most competitive conference in the country and the draft numbers and NFL rosters bear that out .... and if you wanna be the best you have to compete against the best. If you want a chance to go to the NFL, then the SEC affords more athletes that opportunity than any other league.

After the first round none of it matters.

So what you're really saying is that SCe is the top NFL talent producer in the SEC without an SEC Championship?? Color me surprised...
