Beat the eventual national champions in a close game on the road and all of a sudden they're piggybacking on that team's success throughout the year and well into the offseason?

Are we gonna see any bumper stickers saying aTm: 29, National Champions: 24?

Except that A&M has the heisman trophy winner and Ole Miss' QB was not even in the same galaxy compared to him.

Sumlin =/= Nutt
Manziel =/= Snead

So no.

They also both won the Cotton Bowl. And their wins over the eventual champ were both on the road.

10-2 > 8-4

Lost to Vandy. Had several close games while A&M kicked the shite out of most their schedule and won Heisman.

Both were playing pretty badass at the end of those years too. Interesting to see how they do next year...

we also have a heisman winner, a potential top 5 recruiting class, and ended up being ranked in the top 5 in both final polls...dont think ole miss had that then

I can't understand these people who think A&M isn't good/going to be good next year.. They're losing a few prospects. Awesome. They've also got a loaded recruiting class coming in, and their record-setting-just-dominated-your-team-a-month-ago QB is coming into his second year, where he'll know a ton more about playing in the SEC.

Looks like a recipe to be a contender IMO. If I'm wrong I'll own up to it, but you guys are fricking delusional if you think they're just going to magically suck.

I don't know. Did Ole Miss have a top 5 recruiting class for 2009? And likely another for 2010?

Too lazy to quote your post on my iPhone, but, suffice it to say, nowhere in my post did I mention anything about Texas A&M NEXT YEAR. So, your reading comprehension sucks.

I'm pretty sure 90% of the folks predicting A&M's demise are trolling. Can't blame them, Aggies are fun to troll.

And nowhere in my post did I accuse you of saying anything about A&M next year.

I was simply speaking in general and chose to reply to you because you were the OP.

That OM team was much better than the 2012 A&M team.

Snead could've been good but Nutt was his coach
